Mug and Brush - Rockingham

Mug and Brush cafe and art studio opened this month in Rockingham and brings a wonderful creative space to the area! It's a family business and you really get that feel when you are there, the staff care about your experience whether you just have coffee, paint some pottery or attend a workshop. They want you to get the most out of your experience. They are serious about art but are also parents, they know what we are looking for in a play date and have catered for everything our small humans could possibly need!

They have created a proper artistic space which reflects the owners passion and made it practical enough for children to interact and thrive in the environment!

They have a dedicated studio area where they run art workshops ranging from jewellery making to mixed media these can all be found on their website or pop in and find out more! They also hold structured art classes on a term basis approx 8 – 10 weeks and they cover the following age ranges:

There is also a large leisure pool with toddler beach entry and sprinklers.      The leisure pool has a large slide open Monday - Friday from 4-5pm, Saturday 10.30am - 3.30pm and Sunday from 12.30pm - 2.30pm, there is also a whirl pool in the leisure pool area. Having all these facilities under one roof makes a great day out especially if you have children of different ages and swimming abilities.    There are so many facilities at aqua jetty it really is worth checking out if you are in the local area these include; a hydro pool, a great crèche ($6 per 2h per child for non members or $4.40 per 2h, per child for members) a cafe, outdoor grassed areas with new B...

Take five Ice Cream Parlour

Take 5 Ice Cream Parlour - Baldivis Square Hot day? Take 5 and go get some ice cream from Take 5 Ice Cream Parlour in Baldivis Square, it’s truely delicious! We went along to check it out and now understand why the locals queue up outside this ice cream shop, it’s just the best ice cream.   We couldn’t choose which flavours to try they all looked so good. We eventually decided on the Ferrero, their current sell out ice cream. Salted caramel with swirls of real caramel, Bounty for the coconut lover, Banana and Nutella (my absolute favourite) and a scoop of Strawberry Sorbet for our little Miss and we were not disappointed! Fresh creamy ice cream and tangy sorbet all packed full of real flavour.    They are always trying out new and exciting flavours and combinations like white chocolate and tim tams, a pineapple sorbet and caramel slice; see their facebook page for updates and promotions.    I honestly can’t wait to go back and try some of the other flavours on o...

Rebound Indoor Trampoline Park - Port Kennedy

WA's newest indoor trampoline park has opened in Port Kennedy and it is awesome. The brand new arena runs hourly sessions which are unbelievable, there is such a buzz and energy there, it just makes you want to jump! I took my three year old but I'm so going back to try it out for myself or have a go at the excerise classes.    The staff are amazing with the kids and extreamly professional. There is a strong message on safety, encouraging everyone to jump within their limits. Each session starts with a briefing about the trampoline park's rules to keep all jumpers safe and maximise the fun.   T he arena has various sections where you can try and defy gravity, it's such an exciting experience and will totally wear your little ones out!  The free bounce area in the main court has 30 interconnected trampolines for you to jump, travel across and experiment on. For the more advanced jumpers over 125cm tall there are performance trampolines, these are of Olympic stan...
