Nature Play and a Flying Fox at Sunset Hill Park - Golden Bay

Sunset Hill Park is a fantastic new play area in Golden Bay estate, with views over the Indian Ocean, BBQ areas, sheltered pic-nic tables,  a flying fox and nature play. It has lots to offer all the family.

Instantly you will see the duel flying fox that run across the front of the play park generating much excitement for older children and parents! There are two styles of flying fox one with a secure harness and one with a small seat. They run on separate cables and can be used at the same time or individually.

The park has a sense of adventure and the different aspects of the park unfold as you explore. Next to they flying fox area is a large slide complete with cubby house and various talking tubes and wooden apparatus to climb through and balance on.

Behind the slide unfolds a fabulous area with a rope bridge for balancing and a rope climbing frame all set in a natural hide away.

There are two areas for lunch. One situated along side the play park, this has sheltered pic-nic tables, a water fountain and BBQ's from here you can see most of the play area.

Or you can go up to the ocean look out and enjoy stunning views looking over Golden Bay out to the ocean. It is well worth a visit and has pic-nic tables and stools making it the perfect spot for lunch.

Currently there are no shops or facilities here however, Secret Harbour shopping Centre is situated nearby for coffee and toilets.

There is also a grassed area alongside the look out providing a good place to have a run around or lunch.

Back down at the play area there is a sandy area with brightly coloured giant tyres for climbing on, alongside a sand bucket which can be filled.

The bird nest swing completes this area which is suitable for younger children and provides a good balance.

There is still a lot of development going on in this area but don't be put off it is a great family friendly space and the views are well worth a visit. It's not on google maps yet, the best reference is Aurea Blvd the park is at the end of this this road, Aurea Boulevard

Take five Ice Cream Parlour

Take 5 Ice Cream Parlour - Baldivis Square Hot day? Take 5 and go get some ice cream from Take 5 Ice Cream Parlour in Baldivis Square, it’s truely delicious! We went along to check it out and now understand why the locals queue up outside this ice cream shop, it’s just the best ice cream.   We couldn’t choose which flavours to try they all looked so good. We eventually decided on the Ferrero, their current sell out ice cream. Salted caramel with swirls of real caramel, Bounty for the coconut lover, Banana and Nutella (my absolute favourite) and a scoop of Strawberry Sorbet for our little Miss and we were not disappointed! Fresh creamy ice cream and tangy sorbet all packed full of real flavour.    They are always trying out new and exciting flavours and combinations like white chocolate and tim tams, a pineapple sorbet and caramel slice; see their facebook page for updates and promotions.    I honestly can’t wait to go back and try some of the other flavours on o...

Rebound Indoor Trampoline Park - Port Kennedy

WA's newest indoor trampoline park has opened in Port Kennedy and it is awesome. The brand new arena runs hourly sessions which are unbelievable, there is such a buzz and energy there, it just makes you want to jump! I took my three year old but I'm so going back to try it out for myself or have a go at the excerise classes.    The staff are amazing with the kids and extreamly professional. There is a strong message on safety, encouraging everyone to jump within their limits. Each session starts with a briefing about the trampoline park's rules to keep all jumpers safe and maximise the fun.   T he arena has various sections where you can try and defy gravity, it's such an exciting experience and will totally wear your little ones out!  The free bounce area in the main court has 30 interconnected trampolines for you to jump, travel across and experiment on. For the more advanced jumpers over 125cm tall there are performance trampolines, these are of Olympic stan...
